Our product Timspect automates the measurement and quality inspection of roundwood and wood chips loaded on trucks. The patented image processing technology build on decades of development work done by the missile technology development team at Saab.

 

Today more than 20 pulp mills and sawmills are trusting our system day and night in their wood supply chain. Timspect is a turnkey system that includes all hardware and software to measure and inspect your wood supply and it can easily be adapted to new territories with our proven validation process. 

Our main mission is to automate the entire measurement and inspection process and we are working continuously to find new areas that can be automated. Today the volume measurement is automated, and we have started to explore the possibilities to automate quality inspection as well via machine learning.

How it works

Our sensors scan the truck as it passes through the gantry.  The software is then dynamically identifying the load on the truck via a set of unique algoritms. A point cloud is generated which is used by our software to calculate the volume of the stack.

Everything is processed in less than a minute.

All data is exchange to external systems via our REST API.

A 3D-model called point cloud is generated and at the same time 2D images are grabbed for further images processing. The captured data is used by our software to calculate the volume, dimensions, diameters, defects etc.
